Carter is running again?  I must have missed that news flash.

He was never my hero back in the day - but has approached that status in later years.

He is the most politically incorrect former president in my lifetime - a plus in my book, as he speaks the truth as he sees it - and that others deride his opinions and attack him personally doesn't deter him from struggling for justice.

And while performing military service is not the only measure of patriotism, a great number of "liberals" - whomever you prejudge them to be at any given moment - have put their lives on the line for years to protect and preserve unalienable and civil constitutional rights; and have earned the right to define the "concept of patriotism" from their own experiences.

Would you care to specify and share with us examples of what you consider "trashing" of the concept of patriotism - that you've apparently heard so many times?

Too bad ... I had Bachman in my top five voting choices.  Guess I have to find a replacement.

And thank God for that.

And how has he done that.  Was it the disclosure of the number of nuke Israel had?

I plan to wait and see how the field shapes up.   While I like some of what Bachman stands for she is just a little to far the the social right for my tastes.

Bachmann is nowhere near as far to the right as Obama is to the left.

Obama will go just as far as he can get away with and will consider a 2nd term as a license to do so.

i guess it's all in the way you spin it, tsiya.

i'd call obama nothing more than a run of the mill, garden variety liberal/progressive.

i look at bachman as the anti-christ in a pair of cheap pumps.
or i would if took her seriously.

i think the most important task for the republican candidates is to drag obama as close to the center as they can, minimizing the effects of his sure to be , two term presidency.

bachman is a laugh riot.
but she's not a viable candidate.

is anyone ready for a bloody revolution?

you can quote me on this.

there won't be a revolution (bloody or otherwise) any time soon.

who's going to lead the revolution?
who's going to fight?
and what are they fighting for.
an end to governmental tyranny?
what tyranny?
you can speak your mind...you've just spoken it.
you can worship as you please.
and unless i miss my guess, you've eaten a meal or two today.

these are the things (or the lack of them) that lead people to revolt.
not government bailouts and deficit spending.

I agree with Scrutney I don't think revolution is imminent but I believe the risk is there.

This is not the 1930s our economic worries though serious are not insurmountable.  But if this economy does not turn around soon the leader that takes over the presidency had better have a bit more then rhetoric.

There are serious issues that need to be addressed and if they are not dealt with properly we could be in for a rough time and that could lead to violence in the streets of major cities.

Then what was it that you liked about her?  Social conservatism is her whole game, not just a facet of it.  Just wondering.

Why is social conservatism reprehensible and the abject immorality of the Obama regime praiseworthy?
